The Design Machine
Give n_Gen a header, subtitle and some text and at the click of a button it generates pastiches of various current design styles. Keep clicking until you get something you like, choose a format and you're done. Great fun. Future versions promise the possibility of supplying your own pictures for it to mung and specifying your own design styles which would make things realy interesting.

Coming in from the pavillion end ...
Ben Hammersley's log has links to real audio commentary of the current test and a historic Brian Johnston commentary. This sent me looking for other early commentaries and found Dexter Faces Hall(1963) and Fred Trueman's 300th Test Wicket in 1964 amongst other childhood heroes

Smoke and Mirrors
Now i've got the photolog bit working I'm going to be on the look out for opportunities to join in the mirror project.

The Photo log is live.
I've started a photolog. Take a look. All the pictures were taken with the Aiptek mini pencam 1.3. Most of them were taken while riding my bicycle to and from work which explains some of the weird angles. The pictures are resized down to 500 pixels wide but other than that are as they came from the camera. It's not that i'm against adjusting them or that some of them couldn't use it, just that if I had to do that they would never get posted. This way I just run a perl script that publishes them straight to the site. Hope you like them.

Les Festes d'Orphée
Highlight of holidays in Aix, apart from the town itself, was two concerts by the "Festes d'Orphée" with programs based around Gaultier and Campra, both of whom come from the area. Catch them when your lucky enough to be in the south of France :-)
